For cyclists, Le Galibier, Izoard or Lautaret…, the Hautes-Alpes is the homeland of mythical passes. The department has 25 in total, taken by the famous Route des Grandes Alpes or the Tour de France. In the summer season, some passes are dedicated to cyclists on the occasion of "Reserved Passes". As for MTB enthusiasts, they are spoiled for choice: labeled mountain bike sites, the Grande Traversée des Hautes-Alpes (350 kilometres), Bike Parks.
